I interviewed for a server position at the new Walnut Creek location in Concord location. The interview process at Doppio Zero was initially very promising. I had two separate interviews one with the General Manager and another with the Assistant General Manager at a job fair and both conversations went exceptionally well. I left these interactions feeling confident that I had secured the position and would be a dedicated asset to the team, as I am truly invested in seeing the restaurant thrive and succeed.
Despite being given a specific timeframe to hear back, I was never contacted. When I eventually took the initiative to call and request feedback recently, the manager who answered could not explain why they were not moving forward with my application. It felt as though the management team was being overly selective who they want on the team that are easy to handle and who they like rather than recognizing the potential of qualified servers. By failing to provide professional follow through, the restaurant risks missing out on great talent who genuinely want the best for the business. I would strongly suggest that management improves their candidate communication to respect applicants' time and professionalism.
