      I've received offers from DoorDash before, and the interviews were as easy/straightforward as my previous runs. This time around, I had a really nervous and inexperienced interviewer who just read off prompts, didn't ask any followup questions or show any indication that he was actually digesting my answers, and seemed distracted the entire time. Nonetheless, all the questions were straightforward and I knew I did pretty well. A few days later, I received an automated rejection email which stated that giving specific feedback is against their policy. It's definitely eyebrow-raising that 1) a company would refuse to give even generic feedback to candidates who gave them hours of their time, and 2) there's such inconsistency for the interview rubric that terrible interviewers can go unchecked without valid concerns.

      Despite having a great initial call with hiring manager and a fun phone screen interview, I'm wasn't very impressed with the following processes. I take the recruiting process as a strong signal into my evaluation of the company. - My recruiter was pretty un-engaged, and other than sending a very short summary of the interview types, did not connect with me after scheduling the onsite. I would have appreciated, and have experienced at other similar tech companies, more check ins from the recruiter before the onsite, during the onsite (either at the start of day or to wrap it), or following the onsite before the offer stage. Even a short, simple email would've been nice. - Really enjoyed some of the onsite interviews where the interviewer was very engaged and active in the discussion - Some interviewers were clearly tired or bored/not interested. They seemed distracted and were doing something else during the call. They weren't supportive during the questions in providing additional context or giving guidance. None of this feedback is intended to blame any individuals - but the experience made me worried about company culture and processes (e.g. perhaps everyone is stretched too thin to provide a candidate experience that compares to other major tech companies).
