      1) Interview w/ Recruiter 2) Interview with HM 3) Then was told by HM I qualify more for another position on a different team, then passed over to another Recruiter 4) Another Interview with a different HM, then asked to complete a take-home assessment/ case-study within 3 days. I was sent this case study on a FRIDAY, so I had to work throughout my entire weekend to submit on MONDAY. 5) I never heard any responses regarding my case study from the recruiter or hiring manager after I reached out more than twice... Not even a courteous rejection!! ***This has to be the absolute worst candidate experience I have ever had. Very inconsiderate of their candidate's time or interview experience. Maybe they have you complete this case-study just to get your ideas or knowledge, the case study is open-ended and they are not asking for a specific thing. Just "look at the dataset and give us recommendations to improve our business model"-- what is that????**** I have reached out to the recruiting@doordash.com to get some insight on if this is a standard business practice... all in all, 0/10 would definitely not recommend.

      First interview was okay , all about your background Second interview by a Manager that only had like 2 years in the company and before that his experiance was on telecommunication. looks like he feel intimidated by my 15 years experience in the industry . My volume was 40 time more orders than his site. I manage 75 employees and they had 15, their lost.

      First phone screen, then sent a case study. Study took about 8 hours, excel sheet with multiple errors (i.e. text in numbers format) required nested formulas and then analysis and recommendations. Third interview was zoom. Mostly questions about inspiring a team, coaching. I withdrew my application after the area manager mentioned "hopefully 60, no more than 80 hours per week". This didnt align with the $60,000 40hr week the recruiter spoke of. You are REQUIRED to work 40 hours a week as a shopper, AND THEN do the analytics and coaching outside of that.

      Weird to say the least. Phone call followed by a data dump exam, as others have said here on Glassdoor. You have 24 hours to analyze their data to provide recommendations for the business. I didn't really believe others when they said it took them 10+ hrs to analyze, but sure enough, they provide you with what's basically a day's worth of work (if done well). It's not hard, but there isn't really any direction regarding how much analysis or the depth they're looking for. Recruiter was responsive but honestly it felt like the data analysis exercise is probably luck of the draw. If you're familiar with basic data analysis and excel functions you'll probably be okay. I imagine there's probably quite a bit of cheating when it comes to this exercise - people who've been told ahead of time about what to expect or given old data sets by friends or acquaintances - there's no way to prove people are dishonest, but I was curious after the fact and found that if you google around hard enough there are hints or old sample sets floating online with more information than is publicly available. Maybe DoorDash is trying to test your resourcefulness in this way? Altogether, the data set isn't very hard to analyze, they want some specific recommendations based on a month's worth of delivery data, but given the guidance of a few hours of analysis, and a time limit of 24 hours, who knows what they actually expect. I put in 2 hours of preliminary work and sent it back in. My guess is they probably want you to put more time into it than that. I hope the company does well but I don't think I would apply again for this position again. There were more quirks beyond the exam as well, but that's probably par for the course working for a startup. What an odd little experience, best of luck!
