Had an initial phone screening with a recruiter where he explained the role and asked me a couple of routine questions about my background. I was then invited to a 30-minute Zoom call with the hiring manager. The way she described the role (responsibilities, priorities, and skills needed) was very different from the recruiter's description. I could tell my experience didn't align with her needs (the recruiter told me SQL was a plus, but the hiring manager communicated that it was a strong requirement).
Overall, the experience was fine, but there definitely seemed to be a misalignment between the job description, the recruiter, and the hiring manager. None of them were consistent.
