J'ai passé un entretien chez Dober (Woodridge, IL) en nov. 2025
Entretien
I applied to Spindle (child company of Dober) through LinkedIn, and the hiring manager initially reached out to me through LinkedIn Messenger. She sent a message with a few questions to confirm that I was truly interested in the position, and shortly after that she scheduled a 1:1 interview with me. The interview was supposed to be only 30 minutes long, but it ended up lasting nearly an hour due to how in-depth our conversation became.
Following the interview, she sent me two articles and a webinar to review to again make sure I was genuinely interested in the opportunity. It took me almost an hour and forty minutes to go through all of the material. I went above and beyond and wrote a full paragraph summarizing each piece to further prove my commitment and to demonstrate what I had learned.
I was then progressed to the next part of the interview process, where two members of her team conducted a detailed interview that required me to answer the same six questions about the last three places I worked. The interview could not have gone better. When I asked both interviewers if they had any hesitations or concerns about my background, they both told me they had none.
After all of that, I received nothing but an automated rejection message from LinkedIn informing me that the company was moving forward with other candidates.
Given the amount of time, preparation, and effort I invested and the fact that I consistently proved my interest at every stage. Receiving an automated message was extremely disrespectful and unprofessional. At the very least, I deserved a direct response or feedback from the hiring manager I spent so much time engaging with. This experience showed a lack of courtesy and genuine appreciation for candidates, and I would not recommend this company based on how they handled the process.

This is for the Spindle portion of the company. I communicated briefly with the Hiring Manager, letting her know I was interested in the position. She passed along my information to the recruiter. The recruiter seemed friendly and scheduled a phone screen. Then, two minutes before the phone screen, the recruiter asked to reschedule because something came up. I agreed and sent over my availability. I followed up several times, but the recruiter ghosted me. I followed up with the hiring manager who had nothing to add. I understand not wanting to have an interview, but this type of stuff shows a lack of respect for candidates.
