Started with typical phone screen. Interview felt like they were reciting a script and just looking for me to say specific keywords to pass on to the next round. No big deal. Afterwards they sent a take home exercise to complete. Once I turned that in, they invited me to speak with an engineer on the team. During that interview, the engineer and I did a screenshare where they had me do another test while they watched and listened to my thought process. Throughout this entire process I felt like just a cog in a machine. At no point did we talk about my background or experience. No pleasantries or critique of the take home exercise. No talks of the company culture or what it's like to work there. Just do this thing and hope you're good enough. It wasn't a bad interview experience on the surface, it just felt incredibly one-sided. After that unenthusiastic second interview, I was no longer interested in continuing the conversation.
