Interviewed at the store with a department manager first. She was very kind and asked typical questions such as "where do you see yourself in 10 years?". She later called after I left and scheduled an interview with the store manager. Store manager was also very nice with the same type of questions and offered me a job on the spot. I initially declined due to a scheduling conflict but the store manager called a week later and told me they would work around my schedule.
Standard interview, quite short (20 minutes) for the first round. Asked about past experience, sales skills, expected pay, and my future goals at the company. Interviewers were very nice and welcoming, made the experience much less intimidating!
Not sure what to expect. When I spoke to the manager it felt very condescending and off putting. The interview was fine but they exaggerated the amount of commission associates can make and didn’t even give me a chance to agree to a job offer just assumed that I would take it. I don’t have very high hopes about how it will be working there. When I came in for my interview one associate didn’t even greet me like she did the last customer and the energy of the atmosphere just felt super dull and soulless. I need this job on my resume as a fashion business student for internships so I’ll push through but not at all optimistic about the work environment.
