I met with the store manager and he asked me two questions and I met with the department manager and she asked me a series of questions. The interview with the department manager become more of a conversation.
Questions d'entretien [1]
Question 1
Tell me about yourself. Why do you think that you got promoted to supervisor at your old job so quickly? Are you comfortable with competing for sales? How flexible are you with scheduling?
Not sure what to expect. When I spoke to the manager it felt very condescending and off putting. The interview was fine but they exaggerated the amount of commission associates can make and didn’t even give me a chance to agree to a job offer just assumed that I would take it. I don’t have very high hopes about how it will be working there. When I came in for my interview one associate didn’t even greet me like she did the last customer and the energy of the atmosphere just felt super dull and soulless. I need this job on my resume as a fashion business student for internships so I’ll push through but not at all optimistic about the work environment.
Standard interview, quite short (20 minutes) for the first round. Asked about past experience, sales skills, expected pay, and my future goals at the company. Interviewers were very nice and welcoming, made the experience much less intimidating!
