I completed a thorough application online and a recruiter reached out. After connecting with her to review the basics, I was connected with a C-level team member to discuss the role. While unsure of how this conversation went (some go well and some are hard to read), I followed up with a lengthy email explaining more thoughts. The long and short of it is, I have not received a response from this Team since the C-level interview. Over the past month, I have sent a thank you to each person I interviewed with, the aforementioned email, and two additional follow-up emails...and I have been completely ghosted. I have been rejected before, I'm okay with that however, completely ignoring a candidate at any level is just bad practice--it's easy to say after being rejected (I think) but given the issues this Team is looking to solve, I suppose this type of (in)action should have been expected. I do not wish them ill-will because they are seeking the right person to change their organization but, in the case this happens to anyone else, just know you are not alone!
