"I recently interviewed for an AI Engineer position here despite the numerous negative reviews, thinking it might still be worth giving them a chance. Unfortunately, the experience only confirmed what others have said. 1. Compensation: The salary quoted was well below market standards, especially considering I had multiple offers in hand at the time. It felt like they weren’t serious about attracting strong talent. 2. Interview Experience: I was interviewed by a technical head, and the entire session felt like an ego trip. Instead of a genuine technical discussion, he kept undermining my answers even when I was correct. There were no coding or problem-solving questions, just condescending remarks about my previous work. Coming from a FAANG background, this was one of the most unprofessional technical interviews I’ve had and I think I dodged a bullet here. 3. Projects: When I inquired about current projects, I was shown an internal tool that honestly seemed like it could be done with straightforward prompting of existing LLMs without custom development. This raised questions about the team’s approach to innovation. It’s disappointing to see “AI-first” thrown around as a buzzword rather than a real practice Overall it was a very disappointing experience and I learned my lesson to take Glassdoor reviews seriously next time.
