The interview process was straightforward. The first step was a 15 minute video call with the recruiter to discuss my background/skills. Following that, I spoke with the HR manager for a technical screening.

There were 3 rounds of interviews - a phone screen, a technical on-site interview, and an interview with the CEO. The first two rounds of interviews were straightforward, primarily focused on technical Java and SQL questions. In the last interview with the CEO, we discussed career goals as a 'conversation' in which I was grilled about my life goals and purpose in life. From the conversation, I could hardly count how many red flags of a toxic work culture there was at the company. It seemed like the onus was on the employee to learn and grow in the position, and it was expected of employees to overwork themselves to do well at their jobs. And from the company reviews, it doesn't seem too far off from the true company culture. The CEO came off as condescending and arrogant, under the guise of 'giving me advice'. Wish I could get my hours back from interviewing. I wish that they had started with the interview about company culture, because I would not have wasted my time interviewing further for the position.

The interview was straightforward, the interviewer let me have an idea of the questions I would have to answer. After my second interview, I was told to take a bit longer to learn some algos and prep for the next interview, ended up getting ghosted.
