On-site interview for about 1 hour. When they were inviting me to have an interview, I informed them if I can take the interview in English because my Chinese is not yet at a business level. They agreed, and so I went. The manager didn't ask that much questions, and more on presented what their company and team is doing. Though I showed curiosity by asking questions, I felt like I wasn't able to show my skills or experiences that much. Why? He barely asked any questions. Just the usual introduce myself, why this position, and what do I know about the company. That's literally it. Travelled 1.5 hours just to answer those questions. Regardless the manager was really friendly so I sent him a thank you email after. Got ghosted regardless. I have the instinct that they don't hire foreigners, I don't know why they invited me to the interview in the first place.
