      Candidature

J'ai postulé via la recommandation d'un employé. Le processus a pris 1 semaine. J'ai passé un entretien chez Delta Data (Columbus, GA) en oct. 2014

      Entretien

The hiring process included a few phone calls via referral. The process was smooth. There were a couple of very nice older gentlemen and a few younger guys that seemed on edge. One guy kept asking me questions about antiquated technology but I brushed him off. I wasn't sure if he was serious or testing me. I remember members of various fraternities asking very tricky and similarly demeaning questions, so I was not sure if that was a tactic. As the interview went on, the subject of personal finances arose. I was not sure if they were selling me retirement products or asking me to build them. Ultimately, they were asking for my buy in to the company. I gracefully declined to elaborate on my personal affairs and moved on. It was very interesting to uncover the underlying motives for such questions.

Thank you for taking your time in attempting to help our future employees understand how to be apart of our great team. However, I would like to set things straight since it seems almost a year has passed since you interviewed and then decided to leave a review. Maybe the details are a little fuzzy now. 1) Our job titles are always more specific than just "Executive Vice President". 2) You say "I was not sure if they were selling me retirement products or asking me to build them." EVPs build a business, not software. Therefore, we would not have been asking you to do either. 3) Personal finances are never brought up in the company. 4) If for some reason the company did want you to buy in, they would not have interviewed you. They would have provided you with a sales pitch. 5) This company has thrived for over 30 years by staying ahead of the change.
