J'ai postulé via un recruteur. J'ai passé un entretien chez Deel (Delaware City, DE) en juin 2025
Entretien
A lot of rounds and you meet a guy who thinks he is a master in payroll and has written all the rules and calculations in the US for payroll.
A total de motivator and a bad toxic leader. Seems like he got lucky with feel and ended up being a senior at this company.
Deel is a perfect place for someone who has no ambitions and produces low quality code and works 16 hours a day with toxic culture.
1 technical interview, then another interview with the team lead, one cultural fit interview with senior management. There was no leetcode at all but conversations and direct questions. Overall interviewee friendly

The interviewer showed up 5 minutes late and had the most arrogant attitude I have ever experienced in a hiring process. Big red flag. Constantly interrupting me over small details. Demeaning attitude, not a single smile. It's like they wanted me to fail and feel under pressure. It's okay to discuss different views on architecture. But nitpicking the syntax and tiny details was simply not helpful to anyone. If that's the culture, I dodged a bullet.
