      Entretien

The most unprofessional interview process I've ever experienced. I applied through a recruitment agency and was scheduled for a telephone interview as a first stage. The hiring manager cancelled at short notice on the day and rescheduled for the following day. The second time around he was over 20 minutes late for the scheduled call which was frustrating and didn't leave me with a good impression of the company and hiring manager, but I guess these things happen (It's funny how forgiving you can be when you're looking for a new role). After a successful first stage, I was invited back for the second stage which involved a face-to-face interview with the hiring manager which went well. However, I felt at times he kept trying to second guess my reasons as to why I was leaving my current job role. The third and final stage involved a 2 and a half hour assessment day which involved three different tasks. Task 1 was to deliver a presentation on my sales strategy, Task 2 was a role-play exercise where I had to deliver a discovery pitch to a prospect, and the third and final task was an Excel assessment. I was provided with positive feedback after the assessment which was great, however, I was then told he had 15 other candidates to see before making his final decision. This to me seemed strange, as I had just gone through 3 different stages including an intensive assessment day, only to be told there were so many more candidates in the process left for them to see. Now bearing in mind it took me just under 4 weeks to reach this stage, you can imagine how long it will take to go through the same process with 15 more candidates. With that being said, as a candidate, you can only respect and accept an organisations interview and selection process despite being unhappy which is what I did. However, the hiring manager in question seemed to go AWOL after the third stage and failed to respond to the recruitment agency's phone calls and failed to provide a final decision on my application. It's now been over 3 months and my whole experience with Debut seems to be a big mystery. I went through so much effort and hours of preparation in going through three different interview stages & completing the two presentations only to be left hanging by the organisation! I've never experienced this level of unprofessionalism in my 10 years experience and would warn any candidate to rethink about applying for a position here. The organisation looks great from the outside and they seem to be working with some impressive brands, but going based on my experience the whole recruitment process is more than likely to be a waste of time. It's best to focus your attention on organisations who aren't window shopping and are serious about hiring new talent.

      Entretien

I will always remember my interview with Debut but for the wrong reasons. I found the entire interview process both unacceptable and unprofessional. Firstly, the interviewer found it acceptable to reschedule our video interview twice, at short notice (30 mins prior to the interview). Then on the 3rd time was 20 minutes late, was dressed in a hoodie and called me on whatsapp video sitting in his car. He then kept second guessing me when I spoke about my experience. He invited me to a second round. I am glad I turned them down.

I felt that he asked questions for the sake of asking questions. Totally unprepared.
