J'ai postulé en ligne. J'ai passé un entretien chez Dataminr en mars 2025
Entretien
I had a total of three interviews, including a presentation. After investing time and energy, I simply received an automated email informing me that they would not be moving forward with my application. When I asked for constructive feedback, I was told that they didn’t have any to share. I find that very unprofessional and disrespectful

J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 6 mois. J'ai passé un entretien chez Dataminr (Londres, Angleterre) en juill. 2019
Entretien
The entire interview process took 6+ months. It seemed like Dataminr didn't care about me as a potential candidate at all. I was always the one proactively following up with HR in order to determine next steps. The entire interview process was opaque. Whenever I tried to determine next steps, the hiring manager would say that I needed to speak to HR and then HR would inform me that I needed to do an additional interview. I had a total of ten, 30 minute interviews: three interviews with HR, four interviews with Customer Success Managers, two interviews with the Directors of Customer Success, and one interview with the Customer Success Senior VP. Overall, I was not impressed with Dataminr's hiring process; I hope their HR team is not indicative of the overall company.
J'ai postulé via un recruteur. J'ai passé un entretien chez Dataminr en oct. 2017
Entretien
I would describe the process as being stuck in an endless circle of disorganization and a complete inability to schedule and follow-through with a candidate. I finally received my phone interview after 2 weeks of back and forth nonsense from the recruiter. The recruiter confirmed my interview time and then last moment said they need to reschedule due to a flight change in travel (while this is understandable, it’s no excuse that it still took 4 more attempts to connect with them - completely unprofessional).
We rescheduled and they never called me. After 10 minutes of no call, I called their number and it went to voicemail. I sent a follow-up email to let them know I did not receive a call and offered to reschedule if they got stuck in a meeting or something. The recruiter made a claim to me that they called my number and I didn’t answer. I had zero missed calls on my phone. Even if they misdialed, at least call again. I checked the number I provided to them, and it was correctly typed, no discrepancy.
Nevertheless, we must have scheduled at least two or three more times where they needed to reschedule. Finally they mentioned if I don’t hear from them at our scheduled time for a call, that I should call their cell phone for the interview. To no surprise, they did not call me for our schedule time, so after giving them a few minutes in case they were running late, I had to call THEM for my phone interview. I am perplexed by the inability to be organized and professional - also, the interview itself went well and my background/interests/responses could not have have been any more of a better fit for the role. I got an email over a week later, only after I followed-up with the recruiter. The email was an automated message that went out at 7pm stating they have decided not move forward in the process with me. This company will not get far if they can’t even manage interactions with potential talent. I am astounded that this recruiter maintains their position if this is what most of their interactions are like, based on some other interview comments I read.

Question 1
Despite the experience being terrible, the interview questions were pretty decent and nothing was too difficult to answer. There were no “got ya” questions.
