J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 4 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Datafiniti (Austin, TX) en avr. 2019
Entretien
- Apply
- 30min phone hr interview
- 30min technical phone interview
- Code challenge (took about 20 hours due to learning new technology, if you already know it...couple/few hours)
- In person 3 hour interview, half situational, half technical
Advertised as "competitive pay". After final interview, I was contacted and asked if the position would be interesting to me with a salary range was 40-50k (not at all competitive)...which to me, seems like an offer (as I had already done the entire interview process). I asked if that was a hard-cap and after two weeks received a reply stating that they could not extend an offer because of salary restrictions (I just asked if it was a hard cap, I did not say I wouldn't take it).
I had another offer of 62k before this offer came in, but was interested in this job and genuinely liked the people I interviewed with, so I would have taken less than the other offer for this job. I was a solid candidate that I know would have done well in the job and I think that showed throughout my interviews, I got along great with the people I interviewed with, and I expressed that I was very interested in this specific job and the advancement within the company several times AND flat out said I would take less for this job than my other offer because of my excitement for this role, when I was asked about salary range.
When someone has a candidate that has spent probably 45 hours on this interview process and is genuinely excited about the role (and a good fit, as I was told after the interview process), I was surprised to be treated disrespectfully by having an e-mail unanswered for 2 weeks and then saying they could not extend an offer due to salary restrictions when I simply asked if 50k was their cap.

Entretien
Interview process involved an initial phone screening, then another with the technical lead, then finally a programming challenge. First hone screening involved getting to know the company and explaining your own skills. Second call was more technical in terms of content but overall fairly simple and just more so questions about the applicant. Challenge was a week long coding challenge, fairly tricky depending on your background.

The process starts with a couple of intro calls to go over the specifics of the position and review past experiences as well as current skill levels. Then comes a tough but fair coding challenge/project which you are given a week to complete. Lastly there is a final round interview which focuses on soft skills, past experience, culture fit and a few technical questions.
