The interview process with Daston Corporation was straightforward and simple to schedule. I completed a Zoom interview and the interviewer was very friendly, which helped create an easy and comfortable rapport. I felt the conversation went well and left the interview with a positive impression.
After the interview, I followed up to ask about the status of my application and was told that the role had shifted in a different direction. Since the company works with government clients, I presumed this change may have been related to the government shutdown at the time.
A few days later, I noticed the same position reposted on LinkedIn. I reapplied and contacted the interviewer to share that I was still interested and hoped to be considered. I received a response stating that they were moving forward with other candidates. While the process started out smooth, the lack of clarity and the mixed communication toward the end felt a bit unprofessional and made the experience feel like a waste of time.
