I applied for the job opportunity via LinkedIn. First, I had a short phone conversation with an HR recruiter, who was nice and kind.
The second phone interview was with a developer to ensure there was a potential match.
Afterwards, I received a home assignment consisting of two prepared codebases: a .NET Core project and an Angular 13 project. The task was to add a few new features within a limited time of three hours. It wasn't too difficult, but it was time-consuming due to the required installations, like the specific .NET version.
After passing the previous stage, I was invited to a one-hour interview at the company's headquarters in Ra'anana with two senior developers. The discussion mainly focused on the home assignment to verify that I had completed it myself.
The final stages included a standard, brief HR interview (which went well and smoothly) and a 30-minute interview with a high level executive in the R&D. The interview with the executive started 15 minutes late, leaving us with only 15 minutes out of the scheduled 30. The interviewer was egocentric, rude, and unpleasant. He immediately started asking inappropriate questions and brought up new requirements that hadn't appeared in the job description or any of the previous interviews. At the end of the session, I was asked to provide the names of three references. Ultimately, he didn't contact any of them.
A day later, I received a phone call from the recruiter, who informed me that they would not be extending an offer, but couldn't provide the actual reason why.
