Terrible experience, ended up not moving forward in the middle of the process by choice.
It started with a 30-minute call with a recruiter to make sure there's good alignment between the position and me. Then, a 1-hour technical phone interview consisting of coding assignment and some technical questions. Difficulty-wise, everything was reasonable -- this works more as a coarse filter to make sure you know the basics and you're not going to waste the team's time if they invite you on-site. At this point, I'm told that the interviewer gave a good review but that they think I'd be a better match for another team, and that I have to start over. So I talk with another recruiter, and schedule another 1-hour coding interview. When the day comes, I sit and wait for the call, but nothing. No email either saying the call has been rescheduled. In fact, I even get an email the same morning reminding me to expect the call and be ready. After 15 minutes, I email them -- something came up for the interviewer but "worry not!", we'll reschedule you asap for next week. The fact that nobody was checking in with the interviewer, and the fact that the interviewer (a future colleague, were I to join the team) didn't even think to notify anyone, tell me all I need to know to walk away and not look back. This is not how I do things.

The interview process consisted of an initial recruiter screen followed by a technical phone interview focused on data structures and problem-solving in Python. The onsite loop included 4 rounds: one coding round (medium LeetCode-style problem), one system design round focused on building a scalable ML data processing pipeline, one backend/API design round, and one behavioral round. Interviewers emphasized real-world problem solving, tradeoffs, and communication. Overall, the process was structured and aligned with large-scale distributed systems and ML infrastructure.

Question 1
generic questions, nothing to really test what I knew. The interviewers seemed to not know how to interview a candidate and what to look for. I didn't want to work there after what i saw.
