Cotswold Company have recently changed how they do their interviews. It is a group interview with around 8 people overall. Their interviews now involve a small 2 minute presentation on an "Item That Represents You". You take in an item of yours and chat about it for a minute or two, why you chose it, what it means to you, etc. This is followed by a group task - ours was a scenario like "you have crash landed on a snowy mountain on a plane that is about to explode, what ten items do you save from the plane to keep yourselves alive". You then get a list of items and you have to work with your small group to pick 10 items. You then do a small speed interview which involves being asked a generic question but one member of staff, before moving on to another staff member to answer another question. You then shadow a staff member who works at the company and they just chat and talk you through what they do day to day. You also complete a practical assessment - ours was to listen to a customer phone call scenario and then write an email as a follow up to that phone call. Overall I was there for about 3 hours. It was easy enough, and I recieved clear and personalised feedback as to why I wasn't offered the position.

Face to face interview with the customer care manager and a team leader in their head office in Norwich, generally easy basic interview questions ‘what makes good customer service’ ‘ can you give us an example of when you turned around an issue’ The customer care team are hidden to the side of the main head office which feels like a separate operation to the rest of the company.
