Online application and brief phone call with a recruiter.
Convoy has a company-wide cap on base compensation that places Convoy below market for those with a top-tier strategy consulting background (e.g., McK/Bain/BCG). I don't care so much what the C-suite makes today because they should hold a great deal of equity. In my case, the equity would offered not a risk premium but only a chance to get me closer to a market rate.... under a series of assumptions: (1) company does well, (2) future raises are favorable to employee equity pool, (3) I stay around to be fully vested and last through the lockout period, etc.

Applied on-line. Contacted via email within 48 hours by recruiter to set up phone screen with HM. HM phone screen was scheduled about 2 days later. HM did not have role well defined, so when I asked specific question about role and how it fit into broader organization, there was a lot of "we are still figuring that out". Overall, HM was not well prepared to answer my questions about the role.
