- I reached out to the organization because I had read about it previously online. After looking at their website I emailed the program director to see if they were interested in hiring a summer intern. They responded to my email expressing potential interest and we scheduled a phone interview. I had my phone screen interview and we talked, only behavioral questions (what's your background, experiences, interests, why did you reach out, etc.) for about 30 minutes. At the end of the call I was given an unofficial offer to intern there for the summer, then received an email with my official offer a couple days later.
