Received an email to come to an in person interview. Two people attended the interview. One was a manager. The other asked me 2 questions about the job and then the manager entered and to my surprise asked me "where I was from" because of my name. My resume says NY with all my schooling in NY, she was asking my ethnicity. It was awkward. I was caught off guard as this has never happened before. I should have not answered but I did. Then the manager asked the other interviewer to give me a tour of the floor despite having more questions for me. After answering where I was from, the interview lasted a few minutes. I think this affected my chances and it really disappointed me.
