      Entretien

I applied via Indeed on 8th April and shortly after received a direct message from someone who worked there asking if I could reapply again via their website as they were no longer accepting applications via indeed so I did. A few weeks later I received an email inviting me to an interview on 18th May with one member of hr and another from the marketing department. Part of the interview would see me put together a presentation which I would present to them during this time. I felt the interview went ok and the interviewers were friendly. After it ended I was told the next stage would be an inperson interview with another member of the marketing department who was overseeing the London side of recruitment along with one of the marketing team members I had met previously.. On 26th May I received an email informing me that I had been invited to a second stage interview with more details to follow. On the 9th June I received my official interview invite for 23rd June and this would be the final stage of the recruitment process. From start to finish I felt the interview wasn't the best as this was partly down to me being late as Google had provided me with the wrong directions, nevertheless I tried to answer the questions as best as I could. When I tried to explain my work history and why I applied for the role I was interrupted which threw me off slighty, I also asked questions like how I would relate to different people I would be working with and if I was comfortable going out and promoting the brand at careers events which I said yes to and also expressed how I can adapt my approach to people I work with. I was then asked what I like to do in my spare time and if I was comfortable overseeing and proofreading conteny which I said I was. At the end of my interview I was told I would hear back by Monday 26th June. Today, I found myself sending an email asking for an update and I immediately received an outcome informing me I wasn't successful but they really enjoyed getting to know me towards the end of the interview. I found this odd as I only mentioned a couple of things about myself but there was no mention of feedback regarding my actual interview. Additionally, in my rejection email they said that upon reflection they were now looking for someone with more digital marketing experience which was news to me as it wasn't mentioned at any interview stage prior. Despite explaining their recruitment process on their website I received no feedback on my presentation. I feel very disappointed and given the length of time this whole recruitment process this feels quite exhausting.
