Recruiter call followed with sr. product manager call and then case study and then few more rounds with other VPs in company. My case study call went pretty well and even the person conducting one told me that he will put good review for me as I was able to answer all the qs in the case study but still got rejection. recruiter and me reviewed the case study answers together and he was keep saying that i covered all cases and everything was on point. Extermely shocked!! don't trust the words!!!

Phone screen trying to pump you up. Low base salary for the SF bay area — basically impossible to own a home there with that $. Forget about raising a family. Miscommunication on the process. Was told that the next interview was a behavioral interview from the hiring manager. Turned out to be a case study from a peer. Case study — they were late to the interview. Was asked to rebuild an MVP for a product they had already built. So they already have a deep home field advantage. Poor work life balance — Was told they work 50 to 55 hours a week. Unlimited PTO, but unspoken pressure not to take it. Heard that the culture was HIGHLY AMBITIOUS and that management had basically unrealistic expectations. Impression that employees burn out, so only the desperate or drones are left.
