      Entretien

Wow! what a way to Welcome a candidate. I arrived at the right time and concerned HR person was missing. Someone else came after like 15 mins and then asked for my Resume. For GOD's sake, get that upfront guys. This talks a lot about how casual you are in your approach. Then they took me through dingy walls to Some other Product Manager's OFFICE. You are a start-up and you are setting this office-type culture and class-divide !!!! As soon as I entered, she asks me "Tell me something about yourself". Wow! what a way to welcome a candidate for one of the most important roles you will ever fill in your organization. No intro about organization, no details about position. I had to put in my words that I will go through my profile but please let me know whom am I talking to and what the role and responsibility like. Anyways, I got only 1-lines for this. Totally demotivating. Then she asks me usual set of questions which were framed like 50-years ago: 1. Which project/product did you like best and why? 2. What could you have improved? 3. Where do you see yourself in 5 years (most cliched) This speaks volume about that PM that what good can a person do to company/product who had no vision/art of selection process. 4. What are your hobbies. 5. If you have $1M and you would like to create a product in area of your hobby, what would that be. Overall, Very immature interview process I call up HR after few days to know about the feedback and though I could make out that she is there but she was hiding. Have some courage guys and talk to candidate (selected or rejected) because because never forget every candidate is also a potential customer! You simply did a bad job.
