Simple, one phone call and one in person. Quick call back after that, this was for an in store position so the barrier to enter is pretty low. I believe they were desperate for people at the time.

I WAS OFFERED JOB, ACCEPTED, then TOLD I DID NOT HAVE THE JOB 2 MONTHS LATER AFTER WAITING FOR A START DATE!
I was a former employee who submitted to be rehired with appropriate documentation, accepted background check and drug test, and a raving review from my rehiring interview. I was then sent a welcome and acceptance letter 1 week after my interview. I was abruptly contacted in less than an hour after the welcome email inquiring whether I was a new employ or a rehire. I questioned how they could not understand that I was a rehire because all other interviews, paperwork, and documentation established me as a rehire. The person on the phone seemed very confused and said that I would be receiving a phone call about a future start date within two weeks. When one week had passed I had emailed to inquire about my start date. The reply was "no new news" on my start date. When one more week had passed bringing us to the two week mark, I again reached out to that same person who gave me the same response as before. After 4 weeks had passed with no update, I again reached out and received the same response as before, but told that I would be contacted when there was new news on a start date. (Keeping in mind that I am refusing other job offers based on my welcome and acceptance letter that I had received from Comcast 4 weeks prior). When four more weeks had passed with no communication from Comcast, I reached out to the "Comcast Listens Hotline" to inquire about my start date. An investigation was started by an inside agent who later informed me that my paperwork was "overlooked" and during that period of time Comcast made the decision "no new rehires." In my opinion, I was NEVER going to be contacted.

I heard about the position via an mass email sent by my recruiter for a job fair in the Houston area. I arrived at the interview that first started with a group overview of the company. Next you are asked if you still want to move on with the process. Spoke with two manager who asked me about previous positions and work ethic. I was then moved on the speak with supervisor of the division. We discussed, informally, the position and my previous jobs and accomplishments. Lastly, if he/she likes you, you are then moved to the last stage which is speaking with the director (also informal). Received a call stating they like me and offered me the position.
Background check took forever but all in all, great overall experience.
