The process was unprofessional and misleading. They asked me to interview for one job, but then change the position last minute to something different. Total waste of everyone's time and energy.

Tell me about your experience. Questions to understand how much of my project I actually own.
1. Saw the job post on LinkedIn
2. Applied online on the company's career website
3. Received response email from recruiter
4. Screening call with a recruiter
5. VC with hiring manager <- This part was very telling. Interviewing is a 2-way street. I asked the hm to describe the team and department. Hm was monotone. A distinct change in the convo. Said there wasn't much to share bc the team was new and hm was new to the company <6mo. At least sell me on something! But I walked away with nothing good and that the person was not happy in their role. I later found out on LinkedIn that the person changed companies so not sure what was going on behind the scenes.
