      Entretien

Emma the recruiter reached out to me to discuss the role she was recruiting for. I interviewed with A LOT of people over a prolonged period of time. First with Emma as a screening, then 2 x of the CS team (Current lead and CS Ops) then 2 of the Support team, then with the CEO and COO (twice). In addition to the requirements to do a 30, 60, 90 day plan. I was then given an offer but the salary was VERY low in comparison to the expectation I’d given early on. Emma owned this as being a miscommunication and did her utmost to negotiate in line with their pay transparency standards (I really appreciated her effort here). I subsequently declined the role at Director level and negotiated a title change to VP which would make me on par with the head of Sales (similar number of employees under them to what I’d have). I spoke with the CEO again at this point who agreed to consider my ask and was then placed in front of their investors (3 of them i apparently killed this interview and they were really impressed) next was their board which was the CEO/CFO/COO, VP of Sales and Emma their recruiter. We had a bit of a miscommunication during the interview when Jaoa asked me a question that I tried to clarify but was still unclear. I answered as I understood but re-answered when he made it clear what he was trying to get from me. Subsequently, I had a call with Jaime and Emma to tell me I was unsuccessful in getting the VP role as they felt they didn’t need this level of position at this time but added they felt I was too polished in my answers to them and I wasn’t vulnerable enough. Jaime asked if I had any feedback for them and I said I’d give it some thought and reach out to him when I had. I did put together a very constructive feedback email to him and did not receive an acknowledgment or response which is a shame. Here are a few things the feedback outlined: They do not have any women in senior leadership roles higher than Director As someone on the autism spectrum I am quite literal and this is where my clarification questions came from during the last stage with the board. Saying I lack vulnerability felt incredibly unfair. During my process my 37yr old sister was moved to hospice care and then passed away - cervical cancer it happened VERY quickly) Codacy knew this and offered to postpone. I wanted to continue and I still participated in the process during one of the most difficult times of my life. I felt I gave an excellent performance and showed that even during horrible circumstances I was able to act professionally and conduct myself well.
