Recruiter reached out. The first round was with the VP of engineering. This was more about my work experience. He then gave a take home assignment to build an app and you are allowed to use AI. The assignment was fun. I took a little longer than a few hours as it also required rationale and well documented readme files on the app and the TODOs. I uploaded the project to my personal GitHub account and informed the recruiter. After a few days she called me for an onsite round. The hope was they would ask me on the app I built and the improvements I plan to bring based on the TODOs. Instead I had conversation with two staff level engineers who asked me more about my work and some DevOps related questions and some AI questions. The onsite round concluded with a behavioral interview with one of their Directors of Product who asked a series of questions straight from her computer.
