Impersonal and a waste of time. Apparently this strategy of asking for upfront work is being used because they are fully remote but it made no sense and I think a lot of other candidates share the same sentiments

The interview process started off on the wrong foot. I was sent a extremely long case study of actual data of an existing city. I was then instructed to write out a detailed 8-10 page plan on how to fix cancellations and how to improve it in the future to capture lost revenue. I was shocked this was the interview. I have worked on similar projects before for the exact same issue and was paid $50-$80k as a one off consultant. It’s kind of crazy how they have instructions on exactly how they want you to document your work. In addition, I spoke to several others who have also interviewed and they were all rejected after submitting their reports. I applaud Clipboard Health for finding such an innovative way for their team to collect new ideas and processes by pretending to interview.

They asked how can you use the data provided to predict no show cancellations so they can better forecast revenue. The answer had to be prepared in a detailed 8-10 page report with charts and wireframes for possible new features.

You are required to do a lengthy case study over a week as the first interview round after 5 to 7 days you find out whether you will be proceeding to the next round of interviews. If you are unsuccessful, you are rejected with a generic letter and no feedback on why your case study was not up to standard.
