I was sent a text and email request for interview prompting me to access their online booking system. I did promptly and was notified in the process that I would be sent a confirmation of the interview date and details. I heard nothing. Three days later I received the same email prompt to book an interview online which I did again. Two days before the interview I was called at 6:30pm asking if I had received any confirmation for the interview. I had not. My contact indicated that he would contact the hiring manager and follow up with me with an interview invitation which he did the next day.
The day following (the day before the interview) the same contact called me again at 6:45pm to notify me the position had been filled.
If this is how Cisco treats the people they are trying to encourage to work for them, I would not want to be an employee.

Interviews with hiring manager and operations contacts were straight forward. Was asked basic, standard interview questions. Was also asked to accommodate several time changes and evening interviews. After interviews were completed, the recruiters did not provide any updates and would not reply to follow up emails requesting a status update. For a company this big and with such a great reputation, I would have expected at least a reply or follow up email advising on the status of my application.

One of the best interview processes I have been a part of in the last year! From application to the first interview to the offer, communication with the recruiter and team have exceeded my expectations. This company makes interviews feel more like a conversation and less like being in front of a firing squad! This should be a standard for how the process should look!
