J'ai postulé via la recommandation d'un employé. J'ai passé un entretien chez Cisco (San Jose, CA) en juin 2012
Entretien
Was referred by internal Cisco contact and contacted by recruiter. After calling recruiter back twice she responded and set up the initial interview. Had one interview with hiring manager. Waited two weeks and called recruiter, who had no information, but within an hour had asked an assistant to set up further interviews for three days later.. Total of three phone interviews with team members. Overall interviews were not challenging. Very conversational. The challenge was that the recruiter did not respond at all, causing the process to drag on as I heard no response at all.
Questions d'entretien [1]
Question 1
What is your 90 day plan? What is your view of this role? Why Cisco? What do you know about this technology?
Interview process went well, good questions were asked and I felt that the hiring managers wanted to get to know me. Overall good experience interviewing with the company. Ended up declining the offer.

Question 1
Describe a time you overcome a conflict with product management.
From my perspective, the Cisco interview process was comprehensive and well-structured. It began with an online application and a phone screen with a recruiter to discuss my background and fit for the role. This was followed by a technical screening through a video interview and an online coding assessment. The onsite interviews included a series of technical and behavioral interviews with multiple team members, involving in-depth technical questions, whiteboarding sessions, and problem-solving exercises, along with assessments of cultural fit.
The final stages involved an interview with the hiring manager to discuss my fit within the team and alignment with the role, followed by an HR interview covering compensation, benefits, and company policies. After successfully navigating these stages, I received an offer letter with details about the compensation package and job role, with the opportunity for negotiation. The process concluded with the onboarding phase, where I completed necessary paperwork and prepared for my first day at Cisco. Overall, the process was thorough and professional, providing a clear understanding of both technical and cultural expectations.

No project was required. Interviewed with the hiring manager and then did three hour-long interviews with members of the broader team. This ranged from other product marketing team members to product managers and TMEs.
