I thought everything went well. First, I spoke with the recruiter, then the hiring manager and then a deal desk specialist. They switched me over to another recruiter for final processing. After maybe a week or two, he told me that they are interested in me but right now the company has put a hold on hiring but he would reach out to me to let me know what’s going on. LIES! I went on LinkedIn and saw for myself that they hired someone else for the role. Why lie? That’s disgusting for a company to lie like that. They could have been honest instead of wasting my time. The 3 part interview is a complete waste of time. If you’re the hiring manager, why do I need to talk to someone else after you? Smh!
The recruiter was courteous. However, the process has been very disheartening. After the initial phone screen, I was transferred to a different recruiter and then interviewed with the hiring manager - which I was told went well. I was then notified the following week that they are re-evaluating the department and that the position was no longer available. In the same conversation I was told that the hiring manager had another position opening up in 2 weeks that I would be a great fit for.
After 2 weeks, I reached back out to the recruiter and was told again that they are re-evaluating that role as well and that the position will also not be available “indefinitely “. I was reassured that it had nothing to do with my interview and that I was actually very well liked.
It was an emotionally exhausting process to be honest, and in the current job climate, I felt it to be very unprofessional for a company to treat someone that way and be so disrespectful of someone’s time and effort.
