I was really excited about the possibility of joining CircleCI through the process but completely disillusioned by the end. 9 weeks, 7 hours of interviews and in the end I was passed over for a vague "fit" reason with an explanation that I didn't have the "distributed dynamic startup" experience they wanted (which had been described as something they *didn't* require earlier on in the process). Wasted so much of my time with them prepping, following up, etc when I should have been screened out at the beginning if that really was a requirement. The hiring manager didn't even have the courtesy to respond to my follow up email where I was looking for specific, actionable feedback after being invited to follow up with them! Completely unprofessional.
