I interviewed with the hiring manager and got feedback that I was a very strong candidate during the call. In the weeks that followed, I'd sent several follow ups to both the hiring manager and HR and never heard anything back, only to find out elsewhere they'd filled the role.

Received an automated email and text to setup a phone screening soon after submitting my application. The recruiter was 15 minutes late and her first question was asking if I currently work for C&D. She then asked how close I live to the office, as if I had been there before. I asked her where the office was and she said "probably somewhere in Minneapolis." She wasn't able to answer any of the questions I had for her about the company or the position - a little odd to show up to an interview being more prepared than the interviewer but I'm going to assume she is new to the company/role. At the end, she said I was a strong candidate and she would be reaching out in the next day or so to set up an in-person interview. I was then ghosted.
