A friend at the company told me about an opening with the LAC (Latin American and Caribbean) region. The position was not listed on the Chemonics site. I submitted my resume and cover letter through the website, and she forwarded my resume to the hiring team. About a week later, I received a request for a phone interview, which was scheduled for the next day. I initially received a phone call but the interviewer requested we use Skype, which we did. The interview consisted of about half an hour of questions for me, and about 15 minutes of my questions for the company. The questions were relatively straightforward - check Glassdoor for the types of questions asked. Of note, part of the interview was conducted in Spanish - two relatively simple questions. The interviewer said I would hear back within a week; I did not. After two weeks, I contacted him and received a phone call and email of decline from an HR representative that afternoon.
