I was approached through LinkedIn. I had informed that I don't speak German. Since it was not a criteria initially I was called for a face to face interview in December. But during the interview the interviewer kept telling me that not knowing German is a problem. I could see that his mind had changed and he wanted someone who speaks German. After the interview he said he would let me know the decision in January. I agreed but had lost hope. But he indeed called me back in January on a Saturday asked if I am available to join. When I said yes, he asked me if I could change my German course timings to suit his work timings. I agreed and confirmed my convenience through mail as discussed with him. But I never got a response from him. I finally followed up on Friday to which he replied after 2 days saying he selected another candidate. I found this extremely unprofessional.
