I interviewed with the recruiter and the role seemed like it was a good fit. I was scheduled to meet with the Senior Director after the holidays because they were out on PTO. 30 minutes before the interview they called me to let me know they were moving to an offer with another candidate. When asked for feedback I was told "The other candidate was earlier in the process."
