Super unprofessional and wasted my time. The product owner reached out to me via Linkedin about the data analyst position claiming that "he thinks I'm a great fit for the company" or something along those lines. I replied to him and he told me to apply to the job online. We set up a time for a short intro video call and I prepared for it. On the day of the video call, I was recovering from a cold so when I saw the product owner online the first thing I said "I am a bit sick so I'm sorry if I seem tired to you" and he replied with "Don't worry, I'm hungover". After talking to me for 40 mins or something, he tells me at the end of the call "We've had 200 applicants so there's a high chance you won't be invited to the first interview". I said thank you and signed off. They just called me to meet some status quo. So thanks a lot for having me prepare to your interview while I was fighting a nasty cold when you had no intention of ever considering me.
