      Entretien

Got a phone call from the owner of the company, whom described the position they currently have opened, the skills he is looking for, and the type of projects I'd be working on. He mentioned their would be training, however, he didn't mention whether its paid or not. Next, I forwarded my resume to him. I didn't get a response back for more than 3 days. I called him back and he said he located my resume and will review it ASAP. A few more days later (2nd week), he mentions a new piece of information that he didn't mention in the beginning, which I'd be tested before a face-2-face interview would be setup. However, he never emailed me the Testing link. I emailed him, he says the test aren't on a server to which you can load off of a website (like most companies typically have, they include an online assessment). He says they are written in a word document (?? I am confused) he instructs me to download programs online very vaguely. With no details as to what programs in general, moreover, I never received the "test". I tried calling him back but he avoids phone calls at this time. Now I am confused, a software company as they describe themselves doesn't have a test on a website to which they can guide their applicants to visit like most staffing companies provide or even regular companies such as AMC Theaters, SAIC, etc. Instead they write up a test in a word document, sounds fishy to me. After 3 weeks through phone calls and few emails back and forth daily, I felt like they were giving me the run around.

Reached out via email, heard back in a couple weeks to schedule a test. Passed the tests and received 1 more round of interviews. Proceeded with job offer. The response time isn't amazing but stay hopeful!

Saw the job posting on Stack Overflow and applied. A couple of days later I was contacted via e-mail by their recruiter to set up a phone interview. This phone interview was a basic HR interview, and also described the short programming test they wanted me to take. The test is taken at testdome. The test is 5-6 questions long. There is a SQL question, a few javascript questions, and a few C# questions. After taking the test I was contacted a week later to set up a phone interview with one of their senior developers. A week after speaking with him I had heard nothing so I reached out to the recruiter to see if I was still be considered. The recruiter confirmed I was, and we set up another phone interview with a different senior developer. After speaking with him another week went by before I hear anything. I was contacted by e-mail to set up a time to talk to the recruiter. On the day we agreed to talk I hear nothing until an hour after our agreed upon time. They got slammed with work and wasn't able to make the time. No problem, we work it out and were able to agree on a time later in the day. We talk about compensation during this conversation. This being a Friday the recruiter said they would talk to the executives and would reach out to me the following Monday or Tuesday. It has, at this point, been over a week without hearing anything. If I'm no longer being considered that is fine, though at this point in the interview process I feel like I deserve to know that. Initially I was excited by the idea of working for this company. The problems they get to solve sound interesting to me. The two senior dev's seem laid back and fun to work with. It's clear to me that communication is a problem at this company. As this position was for a remote position it is even more worrying. If communication was poor during the interview process what hope is there that it'd improve after I was hired?

What is the difference between UNION and UNION ALL? (Not on the testdome.com exercise, just something one of their developers asked me)
