I applied for this position on November 9. A few weeks later, I received an offer to interview with someone from Talent Acquisition for the position. After basic questions, she thought I was a good fit the position and set up an interview with the hiring manager for the next day. I was very excited, and she made me believe I could have a possible future with Cetera. I prepped and prepared for hours on the day of the interview. After months of dead ends, I finally was getting somewhere. A hour and a half before my interview, I recieved a call from the talent acquisition person that interviewed me and was told she would have to canceled the interview since they filled the position. I did not hide my disappointment as I spent all morning preparing to be at my best for the interview and make them believe I was the right person for the job. After this phone call, I decided to report the situation to the company HR department since the whole thing was unprofessional. They got my hopes up and shot them down. Think twice before applying to this company.
