Pointless and biased. “Spoke” with a recruiter who was clearly not familiar with my résumé, and did not seem to understand the role they were attempting to fill because they could not ask any relevant questions. On top of being completely unprepared they kept interrupting me while I was answering their questions so they could “take notes”—even though they had a prepend announcement stating AI was their note taker. It was pretty obvious from the outset that the recruiter was disinterested once they discovered my ethnicity. This was further emphasized by the fact they would intentionally mutter and mush their heavily accented words together into unintelligible sounds. I felt like the recruiter had a family member or friend they really wanted hired in mind and deliberately set out to tank the call.
