Unprofessional job offer/reference check process. The interviews went well, however, I was offered the job before my references where checked. I was asked by HR to provide 2-3 references after the hiring manager gave me an offer and HR sent me an offer via email. I declined 2 other part-time offers for this role. The references where asked by HR, after a verbal offer was made by HR and the hiring manager (Very unprofessional and unorganized). I kindly provided 3 very solid references on Friday for them to check on Monday (They confirmed they would check them on Monday). They emailed me on Monday, and asked for other references which where too prominent for me to give for this job. I ended up giving them 4 solid references and 1 prominent written references (I also had over 4 references on my LinkedIn for them to consider). 2 days later they retracted the job offer. For the first time, I just came across the Glassdoor reviews for Cater2.Me. I dodged a bullet.
