Entretien
The process started with an online questionnaire that focussed on testing the ability to speak both Dutch and English as well as testing the general skills of critical thinking and problem solving. Following that was a process of two interviews, firstly a more general interview with the recruiter and the second one was a more specific interview based on the position with two CX leads.

Question 1
A lot of questions were based on my experience on my previous role, which wasn't necessarily in customer service, and how certain skills and scenarios from my experience can apply to customer service.
I applied online at Catawiki. The procedure included a selection test and two interviews. The first interview was with a recruiter and included more general questions, the second interview was with two team leads and had more specialized questions as well as scenarios that I had to answer / find a solution for. Everybody was very welcoming and friendly, which I really appreciated. This also made the atmosphere during the interviews nice and less tense. The whole process from applying to receiving the offer was also quite fast, it only took a few weeks and was pretty smooth.

Question 1
What made you apply for this job at Catawiki?
You mentioned (specific skill). In which previous job / internship situations did you have to use it? Do you have an example?
The recruiter got in touch two months after I applied. I asked about the place of work but she ignored my questions, just saying to take the assessment first. The test was from TestGorilla and lasted 50 minutes. But it was more than 1 hour and a half. In addition to taking time to respond, there is no way to pause and I had to do it at the weekend. It seems to be fashionable for recruiters to use these tools that say practically nothing about the candidate. In my case, I'm not a native English and I'm not European. So totally meaningless. Many tests are for Westerners. outdated selection method and I feel discriminated against taking the test. For those looking for diversity and inclusion, this company is not a good option. In the end I received an email informing me that they would not proceed with my application. But I will definitely no longer apply to companies that only ask to take tests without providing any information about the position.

Question 1
No question because they only asked to take the assessment.
