      Entretien

The process of applying for the position of Community Education Coordinator at Casey started pretty normal and respectful. However, as is all too often the case by the end it was still pretty standard but rude. I started the process in mid-August of 2018 by following the directions of their website to apply by emailing a copy of my resume, cover letter, and references to the HR department. Within three weeks someone had notified me to tell me they were interested in talking with me further about the position on the phone. We set a time and date to speak for the following week, and I thought the conversation went well, the discussion mostly focused on the job description, how I had found out about the job, and why I thought I would be a good fit for it. Shortly, after that, I was contacted again and asked if I would like to continue with the application process by scheduling an in-person interview. I said yes and was told that it would require a presentation and a panel interview. I prepared for the interview and once again felt like it went well. This time around the questions focused on how I would handle certain situations. As most interviews do, it ended with me asking some questions of the interviewers, of course, one of my questions was "when can I expect to hear back from you about a decision?" I was told about two weeks and without any prompting was assured that I would be contacted about a decision either way. Well, it is now two months on, and I have never heard from Casey Trees again, and according to their website, the position has been filled by someone else. While, yes I am upset because not getting the job I am more hurt by not hearing back from them and hope that they know just how poorly that sort of behavior reflects on them.
