Very disrespectful.
I'm experienced ecommerce product manager, and I met EVERY one of their job requirements as posted in the listing. My recruiter phone interview went well. Subsequently, I interviewed with three different people over two days. Two of those interviews seemed to go very well, and they seemed enthusiastic about me.
The third interview was with an HR person who has a degree in psychology. Apparently, she thinks she's a professional psychologist. She asked me a question about a time when I received some negative feedback. I answered the question very honestly. But, this was something that happened in 1998 - 17 years ago. I went on to tell her how I worked on that, and it has not been a problem in, well, 17 years. The rest of the interview went fine.
Since then - this was six weeks ago - I have heard NOTHING but radio silence. Or course, I sent the proper "thank you" notes to the three people. But, they have lacked the common courtesy to even respond to those, or to send me a "thanks, but no thanks" email. After I spent all that time preparing a cover letter, preparing for the interview, interviewing, and following up, you would think that I at least deserve the common courtesy of some kind of feedback. But NO, not from Carter's. This is a organization that lacks CLASS.
Naturally, I would never buy anything from them, and I have gone out of my way to tell several friends and acquaintances about how this company treated me, and recommending that they too not buy anything from this classless company. Makes me wonder how they treat their employees.
