I had applied for a job in June and spoke with an HR rep that told me the position for which I applied wasn't fitting for me, but gave me great advice on how to better myself to get my foot in the door of the company. He also suggested I look into the Account Coordinator Role. In October, I received a call from Carter's telling me that the same HR rep I spoke with in June had suggested me for an open Account Coordinator position. I had two in-person interviews--one a week after the prior. They were around 2.5 hours each, and I spoke with 3-4 different people within the company. I didn't hear from them for a month and a half after my final interview, so I followed up with them. They take a minimum of 3 months on average to get through a hiring process, but after I followed up a few times it got the ball rolling. I had to submit 3 personal references and received my offer later that day. They send you a cute little gift with your offer packet :)

I filled out the online application and got a call a few days later to speak with a recruiter about my background. I got a call from Jacqueline at the exact time she said she would call. We had a pleasant conversation, and while I thought my background would have been a great match for this position, I did not progress further in the process. I really wish I did because this company was number one on my list. My family was a bit excited for me to be considered for employment at Carter's. But I guess it wasn't meant to be. Still a good company, and I had a great experience with Jacqueline.

Applied online.. heard back from a recruiter wanting to set up a phone call. Subsequently had 2 or 3 phone calls with different people that all went well before I was asked to come in to the corporate office for 2 panel interviews. Everyone I came in contact with was very friendly and accommodating with my schedule. The panel interviews are a little intense for what this job is in my opinion. It felt more like a personality test rather than learning about my skills or knowledge. I understand the need to get to know the candidates, but the only questions they asked me were about my personality and how I handle conflict, not so much my experience. After the final interviews I sent the proper follow ups and thank yous to hear nothing back. I reached out to every person I could and was given no answer. About 3 months later I received an automated email saying the position has been filled. I found this to be very unprofessional and rude considering I made it to the final interview I believe I deserved at least an answer within a few weeks. Not long after I received a much higher position at a similar company. I'm sure this is a fantastic company to work for but their hiring process is lacking in consistency and professionalism.
