      Entretien

As many other people have mentioned, the interview process starts off with a phone interview by a recruiter and then you get to spend a full day at the company HQ. There is a long series of interviews from a variety of people , some who know the department you will work for and others that may interact on a limited level. Everyone continually tells you what a fun place it is to work. The office is huge and is color coded it is so big. My experience was to show up a bit early, sit around and wait for someone to get me, have the HR person not know where to take me for my first interview and then finally to get to the first interview with the person that would be my boss. The interview went okay. There is no standard list of questions at CarMax and the interviewer esssentially went down my resume and asked me a variety of the usual questions. I had asked the recruiter early on if there was travel involved in the job and was told no. Of course, I tell the interviewer that I do not want to travel to which she responds that the job does have some travel involved. I knew right then that the interview was over. Yet, I was there for 5 more hours! Next was a series of tests including an IQ test that was timed, a management personality test and a comprehension test. Then came lunch with a coworker from the department. This was essentially a less formal interview. It is very hard to eat and talk at the same time. After lunch I had to do a drug test and a test to ask me how many times I had used drugs and stolen. Then finally there was a panel interview. By the time I left I was worn out and not sure what had happened during the day.

      Question 1

There are a lot of different communication vehicles that are not owned by the department. How would you handle this?
